Getting started

Sign up, pick which channel(s) you need, connect your knowledge base, and deploy. Most teams go from signup to a working agent on the same day.

  • Sign up, every paid channel includes a 14-day free trial.
  • Pick Internal, External, or both. You can change later.
  • Connect knowledge sources: FAQs, PDFs, DOCX, or URLs.
  • Deploy: paste the website embed or scan the WhatsApp QR.

Channels: internal vs external

Pick where your assistant works. Capabilities and quotas are the same on both, the difference is who they talk to.

  • Internal, €50/mo + VAT. For teams and employees: HR policies, IT runbooks, sales playbooks, KPI lookups.
  • External, €150/mo + VAT. For customers and visitors on your public site or WhatsApp: support, sales, lead capture.
  • Channels are additive, enable one, both, or neither. Each ships with 1,000 messages/month; €0.05 per additional message.

Knowledge sources

Train each assistant from any mix of three source types. Updates are re-indexed automatically into a Qdrant vector store; every reply cites the chunk it used.

  • FAQ, question/answer pairs you maintain in the dashboard. Multilingual supported.
  • Documents, PDF, DOCX, TXT. Auto-extracted, chunked and indexed for retrieval.
  • URLs, point at a page or a full domain; Kommander scrapes, parses and re-indexes on a schedule.
  • Semantic search picks the most relevant chunk before generation, so answers stay grounded in your content.

Deployment

Two delivery channels are supported out of the box. One assistant can answer on both at the same time.

  • Website widget, drop-in chat for any site, custom theme and branding, configurable quick-reply buttons, client identification, standalone widget API for advanced flows.
  • WhatsApp Business, QR-based connection via Baileys, 24/7 auto-reply, optional group support, full message history retained in Kommander.

Human handoff

When confidence drops, the assistant says so and hands off, you don't lose conversations to the bot.

  • Configure a confidence threshold per assistant.
  • Set keywords or intents that always escalate to a human.
  • Operators see live conversations with the context already summarised and can intervene directly.
  • Operator role available for external support teams, with permissions scoped to conversations only.

Workflows & integrations

Trigger actions inside or outside Kommander based on what happens in the conversation.

  • Triggers: sentiment, keyword detection, response time, user rating, conversation length, time-based.
  • Actions: escalate to human, send notification, create ticket, send email, transfer to agent, auto-respond, tag conversation, fire webhook.
  • Native integrations: Google Calendar, Slack, Discord, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Intercom, Zapier, custom webhooks.
  • Conditional logic with all/any matching and priority-based execution.

Analytics

Live dashboards for conversation volume, what customers are asking, and where the bottlenecks are.

  • Trending topics, active users, conversation volume.
  • Sentiment breakdown (positive / neutral / negative) and satisfaction scoring.
  • Response-time metrics and source attribution (which FAQ or document the reply came from).
  • Live streaming via Server-Sent Events; export to PDF or Excel.

Billing & invoicing

Subscription billing is handled by Stripe at the channel level. 1,000 messages/month included per channel; €0.05 per additional message added to the next invoice.

  • 14-day free trial on every paid channel, cancel before it ends and no charge is made.
  • Card and SEPA direct debit accepted via Stripe Checkout; bank transfer on annual plans on request.
  • Italian SDI electronic invoicing (Codice Fiscale / P. IVA / SDI code) supported.
  • Invoices and receipts available in the Stripe customer portal.

Languages, security & roles

Kommander runs in the EU and is built around GDPR-compliant defaults. Conversations stay in your tenant.

  • 15+ conversation languages with auto-detection, IT, EN, FR, ES, DE, PT, NL, PL, RO, UK, AR, ZH, JA, KO, RU. Knowledge base can be multilingual; the assistant replies in the customer's language.
  • GDPR compliant, EU data residency. Data encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • Documents and conversations never used to train public AI models.
  • Role-based access control: Admin, Manager, User, Viewer, Guest, Operator. Granular permissions on conversations, knowledge base, billing and analytics.
  • Full access logs and audit trail for admin actions.
